Being Vegetarian on Campus

Being Vegetarian on Campus Hey everyone, As a vegetarian on campus, I thought I would write about what that’s like here and let future campus vegetarians know of the best places to find food. My first week on campus was pretty rough food wise;  I ate a lot of ramen and cereal. I currently live in Illinois Street Residence in Wardall Hall, and while the dining hall is great,  the vegetarian options are very limited. I usually walk over to the Lincoln Avenue Residence Hall to eat at their dining hall because they have really good vegetarian options at every meal.  Another good dining hall for vegetarians is  the Ikenberry dining hall, because they also have good vegetarian and vegan food options. I think part of being vegetarian on campus is  finding out which dining halls have the best options for you personally, and finding the closest dining hall to you for times you have to study or you just dont feel like traveling to eat.  I would also suggest that you use your food credits to buy cereal, milk, ramen, or soup as a backup so if the dining in your residence hall doesnt  have the vegetarian options you want on a given day, you can still eat a meal. Another  option is to go  out to eat. There are vegetarian choices  outside of the residence halls, such as the Red Herring (a vegetarian restaurant) and Merry Ann’s Diner. Thanks guys, and happy eating on campus! Indyia Indyia Class of 2019 I’m an Art Foundation student in the College of Fine and Applied Arts, and after Art Foundation I plan on majoring in Art Education. With my degree and teaching certificate, I want to teach children how to use their emotions, thoughts, and surroundings to create art.

Summary Of Ghosts Of Ole Miss - 1225 Words

Quint Swanberg Professor McCarthy Business Ethics 16 October 2015 Ghosts of Ole’ Miss Every higher institution of learning has their own set of myths and history. Some of them may be vaguely true and some may be highly influential. The history of the institution may have a negative effect on those who look to apply or be a part of the institution. The history of a place sets the epitome of future enrollees. Some of the ghosts that haunt any college may have an extremely negative impact on how they are viewed today. This negative perception of the university can lead to strong economic deficits. Throughout trying to combat negative concepts that are thrust upon an institution, they have resolved issues of ethics, violence and, to most importantly, boost cohesion and moral. Throughout this essay, I will be examining the effects of one of the most controversial university enrollments. James Meredith paved the way for African American acceptance into a historically all White University. No matter how much adversity Meredith would encounter, he would not give up or give in to institutional racism. The want to keep Ole Miss segregated by those there did not hinder his success. In an attempt to end racial segregation, the Supreme Court ordered the admittance of James Meredith to the campus. This action was a clear defiance of racial segregation. This resulted in an abundant amount of not only riots but also casualties. Meredith paved the way for other African-AmericansShow MoreRelatedExploring Corporate Strategy - Case164366 Words   |  658 Pagesand tutors to take every possible opportunity to explore the live strategic issues of organisations – both their own and others. Short Essays Accepted Essays - College Of William Mary,

Short Essays Accepted 1. I first became interested in The College of William and Mary after visiting the college campus during my sixth grade field trip to Williamsburg, Virginia. The campus and its beauty immediately captivated me, and as I grew older I started researching to learn more about the academic aspects of the college itself. From my research, I found that The College of William and Mary is a great match for me for one main reason. Ever since I was little, I have been interested in becoming a teacher. However, during my sophomore year of high school, my eyes were opened to the world of business. The College of William and Mary has many options for both of my interests. I know that no matter what area I decide to major in, I will receive an extraordinary education. 2. When I go to college next fall, one unique attribute that I will bring with me is my adaptability. Moving twice since my freshman year of high school has helped me develop this trait very well. At the end of my eighth grade year my family moved from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to North Sioux City, South Dakota. I had to make new friends and fit into a whole new culture while adapting to high school. I finished my freshman and sophomore years of high school in Iowa, and then in the middle of my junior year my family moved to Richmond, Virginia. I thought that moving in the middle of the school year was going to be rough, but it has turned out to be a great experience. I have quickly made friends and become involved in several school activities such as cheerleading, Model United Nations, and many clubs. Moving during high school has taught me many things. It has taught me to be extremely open to new ideas, new people, and new ways of life. I know that had I not chosen to adapt to my ne w location and make the best out of moving, I would not be enjoying Richmond, Virginia as much as I am right now. 3. If I had the opportunity to visit anywhere in the world, I would visit the Louvre in Paris, France. Ever since I was a little girl I have had an extremely strong love for art. I could not tell you of a better way of expressing myself than through art. When I draw or paint, I enter my own world where I am calm and relaxed, and I am excited by not having to limit my imagination. I have seen many famous prints of paintings such as The Mona Lisa by Leonardo da Vinci, and Christ on the Cross adored by Donors by El Greco. However, to be able to see the original pieces of art, housed at the Louvre, would be breathtaking because by looking at the original piece, you can see the detail and the brush strokes that you can not see on a flat piece of paper.
